Nepia uses biomass.

"Biomass refers to resources derived from living organisms. It can be used sustainably and helps reduce the increase of CO₂ emissions in the atmosphere.
At Nepia, we use biomass ink and biomass film for the packaging of some products.

Biomass ink is ink that contains ingredients derived from biological sources. The raw materials used include rice bran and seeds.

• 1. Sustainable use and suppression of CO₂ emission increases

  Biomass comes from renewable resources like plants and animals, allowing for sustainable use.
  The CO₂ released during incineration is absorbed by plants through photosynthesis, helping to suppress the increase in atmospheric CO₂.

• 2. Conservation of fossil resources

  By using biomass, we contribute to conserving limited fossil resources like petroleum.

Products that use biomass are labeled with the Biomass Mark.

The Biomass Mark is an indicator for products that use biological resources (biomass) and meet the relevant laws, standards, and regulations related to product quality and safety.
